Wuhan Huangpi District Civic Center

The Huangpi district center is located at one of the main streets with direct connection to the Sheshui River. The location was a key factor on the urban development.
Due to the relatively low building density, a direct connection to the landscape is important. The room program is divided into 5 main functions. Radio and TV station, library, theater
and concert hall with 1200 seats, exhibition hall and cultural center with various functions and tasks. The design idea wants to generate a high level of public acceptance and participation and try tp differentiate itself from others distinguish Chinese district centers. The cultural functions move with others busy parts together in the center. From the building center all building parts can be reached. It serves as a central point of contact, distributor and exhibition and event space. The different aspects of social life are given a stage.
